Biobased Nets
Biobased nets are eco-friendly, biodegradable mesh-like structures made from natural or bio-derived materials. They’re designed to be buried underground to improve soil structure and prevent the erosion of soil by floods, and desertification due to water scarcity and maintaining plant growth thanks to higher water retention (>2 L/m2), growing support for roots, nutritive material for soil enrichment after crop ends, and full biodegradation after a couple of years.
Drought
Drought is a prolonged dry period in the natural climate cycle that can occur anywhere globally. It is a slow-onset disaster characterised by lack of precipitation, resulting in water shortage. Drought can have a serious impact on health, agriculture, economies, energy, and the environment.

A fog collector (or fog harvesting system) is a device that captures water from fog in the air and collects it as liquid water for human use, irrigation, or environmental restoration, especially in arid and coastal regions where conventional water sources are limited.

Land degradation is caused by multiple forces, including extreme weather conditions, particularly drought. It is also caused by human activities that pollute or degrade the quality of soils and land utility. It negatively affects food production, livelihoods, and the production and provision of other ecosystem goods and services
Optifangs-IA v1.0
Optifangs-IA v1.0 is a smart, automated system that uses near-infrared (NIR) technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse sewage sludge without needing to take physical samples. It combines hardware and software to help manage and automate the process, using remote control and integrating all data into one easy-to-use device. The system provides detailed information about the nutrients in the sludge before it’s applied to soil. This helps farmers adjust fertilisation to the actual needs of the land, reducing nutrient waste and staying in line with EU environmental regulations.
